About the position
Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a mid-level Water Resources Scientist or Engineer with significant experience in the areas of watershed management, surface water quality, nonpoint source pollution, and environmental impact assessment. This professional will work as a technical member of our Natural Resources Planning Department for projects located throughout the Northeast, with a focus on southern New England. This position will involve working on studies and planning/permitting projects, including data analysis, writing, reviewing, and assembling documents, correspondence, schedules, and other project deliverables. The position will also involve occasional field work in support of water resources projects, water quality monitoring, stormwater sampling, and watershed/stream assessments. Travel between our southern New England offices will also be required.

Position Requirements
Master's degree in watershed, environmental or related science or environmental engineering required; Ph.D. welcome
5-10 years of directly relevant consulting or equivalent experience required
Experience including, but not limited to, watershed management, hydrology, surface water quality, nonpoint source pollution assessment, environmental impact assessment (NEPA, CEPA, MEPA, etc.), stormwater management, and green infrastructure
Experience with USACE, EPA, and various state and local regulations pertaining to stormwater, water quality, and the permitting of new projects
Experience with GIS software and surface water quality modeling (watershed pollutant loading and receiving water quality) preferred
Experience with wetland science, soil science, or botany and wetland delineation a plus
Valid U.S. Drivers License Required
This position will reside in our West Springfield, MA office with the opportunity to work from our Manchester, CT or Providence, RI offices as needed. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.
